Chilean conductor Pedro-Pablo Prudencio was born into a musical and bilingual home which has allowed him to quickly learn and master the breadth of opera literature as well as a great many gems of the symphonic repertiore.

Born to German-speaking parents, Pedro-Pablo Prudencio has spent his musical life on two continents. A regularly invited conductor at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago, he has conducted numerous symphonic, ballet and opera performances throughout Chile and South America.

Pedro-Pablo Prudencio finished his choral and orchestral conducting studies at the Hochschule für Musik & Theater in Hannover, Germany. His teachers have included Wolfrahm Wehnert, Lutz Köhler, Gerd Schaller, and Eiji Oue. He has also participated in master classes with Helmuth Rilling, Paul Goodwin (early music specialist), Isaac Karabtchevsky, John Neschling and Kurt Masur.

Mr. Prudencio has performed with, among others, la Orquesta Filarmónica de Santiago, Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile, Orquesta de Cámara de la Universidad Austral, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de Concepción, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Universidad de La Serena, Orquesta Nacional Juvenil de Chile and Orquesta Clásica de la Universidad de Santiago; he also works as an accompanist and vocal coach.

His repertoire includes "Cosi fan Tutte", "Don Giovanni," "The Abduction from the Seraglio", "The Magic Flute" by Mozart, "Carmen" by Bizet, "The Italian in Algiers" by Rossini, "Tosca" by Puccini, "Aida" by Verdi, "Lucrezia Borgia" by Donizetti and ballets "Coppelius the Magician" by Delibes, "Etude" by Czerny-Riisager, "Gaite Parisienne" by Offenbach-Rosenthal and the children's opera, "Hansel and Gretel children; besides a vast symphonic repertoire.

He was recently honored by 'el círculo de críticos de arte' "for his work as a director in the three lyrical productions: The Abduction from the Seraglio, at the Teatro del Lago in Frutillar, and Tosca and Aida at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago."
